Caramel sauce — Martha

1 cup sugar
1 tablespoon water
1 cup heavy cream

Combine sugar and water in a medium saucepan over high heat, and cook, stirring occasionally, until mixture is dark, about 6 minutes. Remove
from heat, and carefully pour in cream (mixture will spatter); whisk until smooth. Let cool.
