{"id":6004,"date":"2017-07-24T11:06:39","date_gmt":"2017-07-24T15:06:39","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/mimbly.com\/wordpress\/?p=6004"},"modified":"2017-07-24T11:06:39","modified_gmt":"2017-07-24T15:06:39","slug":"country-peach-cobbler","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/mimbly.com\/wordpress\/2017\/07\/24\/country-peach-cobbler\/","title":{"rendered":"Country Peach Cobbler"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignleft size-medium wp-image-6005\" src=\"https:\/\/mimbly.com\/wordpress\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/07\/Peach-Cobbler-11-1024x709-300x208.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"300\" height=\"208\" srcset=\"https:\/\/mimbly.com\/wordpress\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/07\/Peach-Cobbler-11-1024x709-300x208.jpg 300w, https:\/\/mimbly.com\/wordpress\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/07\/Peach-Cobbler-11-1024x709-768x532.jpg 768w, https:\/\/mimbly.com\/wordpress\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/07\/Peach-Cobbler-11-1024x709.jpg 1024w, https:\/\/mimbly.com\/wordpress\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/07\/Peach-Cobbler-11-1024x709-433x300.jpg 433w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 300px) 100vw, 300px\" \/>1 ( 29 oz.) can sliced peaches, drained well<br \/>\n1 1\/2 cups all-purpose flour<br \/>\n1\/2 cup sugar<br \/>\n1 tbsp. baking powder<br \/>\n1\/4 tsp. table salt<br \/>\n4 tbsp. unsalted butter, cubed and cold<br \/>\n1 cup heavy cream<br \/>\ncinnamon and sugar (for sprinkling on top)<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<div>\n<div class=\"wprm-recipe-instructions-container\">\n<div class=\"wprm-recipe-instruction-group\">\n<ol class=\"wprm-recipe-instructions\">\n<li class=\"wprm-recipe-instruction\">\n<div class=\"wprm-recipe-instruction-text\">Preheat oven to 375F degrees<\/div>\n<\/li>\n<li class=\"wprm-recipe-instruction\">\n<div class=\"wprm-recipe-instruction-text\">Spray an 8 x 8 baking dish with nonstick cooking spray.<\/div>\n<\/li>\n<li class=\"wprm-recipe-instruction\">\n<div class=\"wprm-recipe-instruction-text\">Drain your can of peaches.<\/div>\n<\/li>\n<li class=\"wprm-recipe-instruction\">\n<div class=\"wprm-recipe-instruction-text\">Pour drained peaches into bottom of baking dish (spreading them out evenly).<\/div>\n<\/li>\n<li class=\"wprm-recipe-instruction\">\n<div class=\"wprm-recipe-instruction-text\">Sprinkle peaches with a little cinnamon or cinnamon sugar mixture.<\/div>\n<\/li>\n<li class=\"wprm-recipe-instruction\">\n<div class=\"wprm-recipe-instruction-text\">For the topping, in a medium bowl, combine flour, sugar, baking powder and salt.<\/div>\n<\/li>\n<li class=\"wprm-recipe-instruction\">\n<div class=\"wprm-recipe-instruction-text\">Then add in the cubed butter.<\/div>\n<\/li>\n<li class=\"wprm-recipe-instruction\">\n<div class=\"wprm-recipe-instruction-text\">Begin to &#8220;cut&#8221; it into the flour mixture.<\/div>\n<\/li>\n<li class=\"wprm-recipe-instruction\">\n<div class=\"wprm-recipe-instruction-text\">You can use a pastry cutter. Or better yet, use your fingers. Just work it in with the flour until it becomes small pebbles and has been worked in with the flour\/sugar mixture.<\/div>\n<\/li>\n<li class=\"wprm-recipe-instruction\">\n<div class=\"wprm-recipe-instruction-text\">Then pour in heavy cream.<\/div>\n<\/li>\n<li class=\"wprm-recipe-instruction\">\n<div class=\"wprm-recipe-instruction-text\">Combine until all the flour mixture has become moist. It will be very thick.<\/div>\n<\/li>\n<li class=\"wprm-recipe-instruction\">\n<div class=\"wprm-recipe-instruction-text\">Using a spoon, begin plopping the topping all over the peaches. Just put it on in clumps. Doing your best to cover the peaches. Don&#8217;t worry about smoothing it out.<\/div>\n<\/li>\n<li class=\"wprm-recipe-instruction\">\n<div class=\"wprm-recipe-instruction-text\">Sprinkle the top with sugar or a cinnamon\/sugar mixture. (the cinnamon will make the topping appear darker as it cooks.)<\/div>\n<\/li>\n<li class=\"wprm-recipe-instruction\">\n<div class=\"wprm-recipe-instruction-text\">Bake for about 40 minutes.<\/div>\n<\/li>\n<li class=\"wprm-recipe-instruction\">\n<div class=\"wprm-recipe-instruction-text\">Top will be golden brown, and you can stick a toothpick in the top to make sure the topping has completely baked through (toothpick should come out clean).<\/div>\n<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<div class=\"wprm-recipe-notes-container\">\n<h3 class=\"wprm-recipe-header\">Recipe Notes<\/h3>\n<p>I made this with fresh peaches and frozen blueberries. It took about 47 min in the oven.<\/p>\n<p>To make this with fresh peaches, you&#8217;ll need about 6 peaches, sliced.<br \/>\nCombine <strong>sliced peaches with 3 tbsp. all-purpose flour<\/strong> since fresh peaches will produce a lot of juice.
